This prayer is a prayer model to bring about the greatest transformation you can have, that is, transformed from darkness to light. The prayer itself does not change you. It cannot make you righteous before God. But if you want to give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ by trusting in Him to deliver you from your sins and make you a child of God, this prayer may be used to guide you.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you, not on my own merit but, on the merit of Jesus Christ's who loves me and died in my place on the cross. I know I have sinned against you and do not measure up to your standards of righteousness and goodness. I'm deserving of eternal punishment. But Lord, Jesus took my sins so that I could live forever. Please forgive me, I repent of all my sins now. I receive your offer of forgiveness through Jesus Christ. I believe in Him. Thank You Lord for forgiving me. and saving me from my sins. Thank you for making me a new person. I now live for You as Your own child. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
